Concorde Informatics Ltd is delighted to announce the appointment of Ian Morley as Customer Services Manager.
Ian Morley’s background is steeped in Customer Services, having been an Engineer for many years at Systime Computers during the early ‘80’s, joining ICM Computer Group in 1987 as a Senior Customer Service Engineer. Ian spent many years in this role and as ICM grew, so did the long list of Engineers. Ian was promoted to Customer Service Manager in the late ‘90’s and was responsible for 60 plus customer service engineers, logistics and training that. He was charged with all the commercial aspects of the business in that he dealt with contract management, service delivery, service quality and contract renewal/development, covering the area of Newcastle to Chesterfield and Liverpool to Hull; ICM’s largest Geography and Head office ‘back yard’.
Ian was highly regarded by his colleagues, peers and loyal customers as he maintained continuity of many key relationships over 20 years. Ian was sad to leave ICM 2 years after its acquisition by Phoenix IT Group based in Northampton but felt that it was a necessary career move. Remarking on his exit from ICM in March this year, “ I was very loyal to ICM, its customers and staff and they were loyal to me. I just felt that the time was right to move to a smaller player whereby I could influence the shape of the service to our customers. I’m delighted to be charged with building on the core strengths that Concorde has developed to date’.
Ian joined Concorde Informatics as Customer Services Manager in April this year having teamed up with his old friend, Colin Meakin, Concorde’s MD and former boss, Barry Roberts, ex CEO and founder of West Yorkshire based ICM Computer Group plc. On Morley’s appointment, Colin Meakin was quick to remark ‘Ian’s been the cornerstone of IT Support and Service delivery to ICM’s customers for many years and is synonymous with quality, reliability, sincerity and longevity. He’s a great asset to have and a major benefit to our organization. We’re delighted to have him on board’.
Ian is a shareholder and an integral component of the consortium that bought Concorde Informatics and Morley based Phase CRS earlier this year. He sees a very bright future for both his career and his customers, both new and old.
