Concorde Informatics has chosen to support the important work that Yorkshire Cancer Research do in promoting research into the causes and cure of cancer, and in their fundraising efforts.

Concorde Informatics will be working with Yorkshire Cancer research with their current and future IT projects and also help raise awareness of the charity though staff fund raising and corporate sponsorship events.

Yorkshire Cancer Research is an independent, regional charity relying almost entirely on the fundraising activities of their supporters. It is due to fundraising initiatives such as this that enable Yorkshire Cancer Research to grant awards to researchers based at universities and their associated teaching hospitals across Yorkshire. These researchers investigate the cause and behavioural patterns of a variety of cancers in order to develop more effective treatments.

We also hope to encourage Concorde customers and employees to take part in fundraising events. The sad fact is that many people will have or be affected by cancer at some point in their lives. By raising money for research now, we increase the chances of developing new treatments in the future.

Money raised by Concorde Informatics and Yorkshire Cancer Research goes to: 

• Providing grants to relevant academic institutions
• Striving to make new and effective treatments available to patients
• Demonstrate the benefits of our research programme to the wider community
• Fund fellowships and researcher awards for work in areas that meet YCR objectives
• Communicate effectively with donors, academic and associated institutions to ensure that our achievements are widely recognised for the contribution they have made and the value they bring to those who suffer from cancer.
